Canpak Auto — Save Money on Car Repairs

Ontario-Licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station

Uber and Lyft Brake Service in Scarborough

Rideshare driving is one of the hardest jobs a set of brakes can have: constant stops, passenger weight and city traffic all day. Brakes are also one of the most common reasons a rideshare vehicle fails a safety inspection, so keeping ahead of wear protects both your certificate and your earnings.

Why rideshare brakes wear faster

A full-time driver can cover 40,000–60,000 km a year, almost all of it city driving with frequent hard stops. Pads that might last three years for a commuter can be finished in under a year.

What we do

Measure first, then recommend:

  • Pad and rotor thickness measured at all four corners
  • Caliper slides cleaned and lubricated to prevent uneven wear
  • Brake fluid condition tested
  • Written quote with priorities before any work
  • Road test to confirm pedal feel

Timing it around your certificate

If your inspection is coming up, have brakes measured a few weeks earlier. Replacing pads on your schedule costs less downtime than failing an inspection the day your certificate expires.

Honest priorities

If your rear pads have life left, we will say so. We prioritize what is required for safety and for Ontario's standard, and let you decide the rest.

CANPAK AUTO is an independent repair shop and licensed Ontario inspection station. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Uber or Lyft. A Safety Standards Certificate is issued only when a vehicle meets the provincial standard, so we cannot guarantee that any vehicle will pass. Platform requirements can change without notice — always confirm current requirements in your driver app.

Uber and Lyft Brake Service — driver questions

How often should a rideshare driver check brakes?

Every oil change is a good habit—roughly every 8,000–10,000 km—since we can measure while the vehicle is already on the hoist.

Will worn brakes fail my safety inspection?

Brakes below Ontario's minimum requirements will not pass. Measuring in advance avoids the surprise.

Can brake work be done the same day?

Often yes when the parts are in stock. Call 416-642-2838 with your year, make and model.
