Common failures we see on rideshare vehicles
High-kilometre vehicles tend to fail on the same handful of items:
- Brake pads or rotors below minimum thickness
- Tires under the required tread depth
- Play in tie rods, ball joints or wheel bearings
- Exhaust leaks
- Non-functioning lamps or worn wiper blades
Plan ahead if you can

We never repair anything you have not approved, and we do not guarantee that a vehicle will pass. What we do guarantee is that you will understand what we found and why it matters.

How long is the certificate valid?
An Ontario Safety Standards Certificate is valid for 36 days for registration purposes. Platforms may apply their own timelines, so confirm what Lyft currently requires.
Do you inspect hybrids and EVs?
Tell us your year, make and model when booking and we will confirm we can inspect it.
What does the inspection cost?
$85. Repairs to meet the standard are quoted separately.
