What Subaru owners should watch for
All four tires must match closely
Symmetrical AWD is sensitive to differences in rolling circumference. Replacing one tire on a worn set can strain the centre differential, so we measure all four and advise honestly.
CVT fluid condition
Lineartronic CVTs depend on clean, correct fluid. City and highway commuting heat it steadily, so we inspect condition rather than assuming lifetime fill.
Head gaskets and oil leaks on older engines
Earlier EJ-series engines are known for head gasket seepage. We check for external oil and coolant residue at the head joints during service.
Wheel bearings and rear suspension
Forester and Outback wheel bearings wear with high kilometres, producing a hum that changes when turning. We road test to confirm before quoting.
