Brake Rotor Replacement in Scarborough

If your steering wheel shakes when you brake, rotors are usually the reason. We measure before we recommend.

Signs your vehicle needs this service

  • Pulsing or vibration through the pedal or steering wheel while braking
  • Deep grooves or a lip you can feel on the rotor edge
  • Rust scaling after a vehicle has sat for a long time
  • Uneven pad wear side to side

What's included at CANPAK AUTO

  • Rotor thickness and runout measurement
  • Replacement rotors matched to your vehicle
  • Hub face cleaned so the new rotor sits flat
  • New pads where wear or contamination requires it
  • Wheel torque to specification and road test

Why this matters

Rotors are the surface pads press against. When they are too thin or no longer flat, braking becomes uneven and heat builds up faster. Left alone, that vibration spreads to suspension and steering components.

Brake Rotor Replacement — questions we hear often

Can rotors be machined instead of replaced?

Sometimes. Many modern rotors are thin from new and have little material to remove safely. If machining is not safe, we will tell you why.

Do warped rotors fail a safety inspection?

Rotors below the minimum thickness or badly scored do not meet Ontario's requirements. We measure them during any safety inspection.

Why did my rotors rust so quickly?

Surface rust after rain or snow is normal and wears off in a few stops. Heavy scaling usually means the vehicle sat unused for a long period.
